My player went and made up all this backstory and family for me and stuff, and then I ended up being TOTALLY NOT WHAT SHE'D BEEN ASSUMING, and a much more prominent character than anyone anticipated, and there was jossing all around.

I have a semi-canon (HBO site, but there are some things on there that don't entirely make sense)obituary for Claire. We see her die surrounded by photos of her life from the end of the show to that day.

I think that's about as closed a canon as one could ask for.

After four years of pretending I didn't have a family, I suddenly gained two siblings from a screen graphic of my Starfleet personnel file in the Mirror Universe episode. I was all set to get in, have my time in Fandom and then graduate before the next book came out. Then my player had to go and try someone else first, pushing me back. Thankfully (although my player says NOOOOO) the book release has been delayed, but it looks like I'll get Jossed halfway through my senior year, probably in a way that no one expects at all considering the author.
