Whispers in the Dark

We haven't done this type of sharing in awhile so I think it's time to do that now.

So, tell me a secret, Fandom. Tell me something no one else knows. Tell me something you haven't said out loud to anyone yet. If you don't have any secrets, tell me something you wish would happen to you, whether it be realistic or not.

Not only am I a clone, but I hate that it turns out that I'm not a real person.

Oh, wow. That's...frakking sad. Sorry, dude. You're real to us? Not helpful, I know.

I appreciate the effort.

The worst part is that I knew I was a clone for five years. Then I was tricked into thinking I was real and the other guy was the clone. I don't know if it was worse to think that I had my life stolen from me that first time or to actually have my life stolen from me this time.

Thanks. What flavor?

Oh, and the guy who tricked me into thinking I was the real one? He killed me.

... I got better, obviously. But that's a whole different story.

Thanks, but that's a little much for me. Do you mind if I only take two of those pies? The rest can be used for a charity bake sale or something.

[identity profile] iguessiamaclone.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
That works for me. Thank you.

[identity profile] justice-beat.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
...pretty damn real as far as I'm concerned.

Just to throw that out there.

[identity profile] iguessiamaclone.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, it's not the real part that I have a problem with. It's the person part.

[identity profile] justice-beat.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
You seem to have that part down pretty well, too.

Unless my impression of what makes a person has been terribly wrong for a while now...

[identity profile] iguessiamaclone.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Real people don't disintegrate randomly. That's more of a clone thing. It's a small but important difference between the two.

[identity profile] justice-beat.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
...I think that's more an issue of once you do disintegrate. Up until then, however...

[identity profile] iguessiamaclone.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
I've done it once already. But I haven't mentioned that part to you yet.

[identity profile] justice-beat.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
...so, you've disintegrated once, but been a person twice.

Basic mathematics, now.

[identity profile] iguessiamaclone.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
That second part's up for debate. I've definitely been a clone twice. And definitely a fake person at least once.

[identity profile] justice-beat.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
And we find ourselves back at technicalities.
