Ah, now, you're an anomaly because you fit the rare category of guys I'm interested in because they remind me of the other brother. Not because you're fifteen and stupid, but because I can hold a conversation with you that satisfies me enough that I don't start thinking about how I can manipulate our friendship to my benefit.

I don't know if I'd be that easy to manipulate to start with -- but I'll take that as the compliment it seems to be. (And I don't particularly mind being compared to Ender, either. Just as long as you don't think I'm a sadist.)

Great, now you have me just wondering if the reason I don't try to manipulate this is because I know it wouldn't be so easy. Ah, the joys of being a Wiggin....

Let me put it this way: I do what I want to do. If you manage to convince me I genuinely want to do something that would further your goals, I might help you. But it's simpler to ask, with me.

It's all about perspective, really. I have been pretty good so far getting people to think that what I want is what they want, as well....

Which is fantastic, and when people routinely overpower a thousand-year-old vampire detective through batted eyelashes and sheer stubbornness, I'll believe you could manipulate me. Until then, I'm not people.
