My mother abandoned the man she was engaged to at the altar practically, and married my dad instead. She got really sick when she was pregnant with me, and my father ended up having to do a C-section so I wouldn't die too.
My father, in a desperate attempt to never let me leave the house, poisoned me with "medication", which he claimed would eventually cure the "disease" I'd "inherited" from my mother. He also lied about his job, telling me that he was a surgeon when he was actually repossessing organs from people. Oh, and let's not forget that he didn't tell me about my having a godmother because she was my mother's best friend.
