My father was the Emperor of the Known Universe and groomed me to be his heir. Because he was the Emperor he was accorded the distance due him and my mother, after giving birth to me, was also been distant. Sometimes, more than with my father who, I at least interact with.
As soon as I was able to walk my parents all but practically gave me to the care of the Reverend Mother Mohiam. If you think I could find kindness with her you are sorely mistaken.
My father compliments me on my logic and sometimes follow my advice but I know he wished I was a son. He resents my mother for bearing him daughters and that resentment bleed through to my sisters and I. It is sometimes very hard to live with a parent who actively dislikes you. Especially if that parent is the Emperor.
When my father lost his throne to the Atreides I saved my father from committing an act of stupidity that would cost not only our lives but of the whole Imperium. I married Paul. From a cold family life I jumped into an equally cold marriage and for some reason my father resented my marriage to Paul. Possibly he thought I have turned traitor.
That would come later.
But other than that I don't think I have 'issues'. Really.
