It happens. I suppose a therapist would have a field day with that answer, but it's the truth.

She is. I'm hoping this isn't the time she leaves me, yet.

Perhaps. I'm still only vaguely aware therapy exists, though someone should send me to one as I'm beginning to suspect it may not be entirely healthy to be desperately in love with one's adoptive father.

And for however long she decides to stick by me afterwards. I'm not dreading it, or at least not in that way; I know it'll happen, eventually.

At least I'm not as wary of her as I was a year ago.

I really would suggest finding out about therapy to deal with your 'family issues', but I fear my hypocrisy would know absolutely no bounds in that regard.

Not dread, then -- just awareness of her departure as a vague cloud on the horizon that gets nearer with every step? It would almost make one want to stop taking steps.

Thank you, but hypocrisy aside, even if I found out about therapy, I most likely wouldn't go. I can't risk Sebastien in that way; if he got taken away or left over it, who am I?

It's the age old adage. I empathise completely.

And I would never stop taking steps. I need to go beyond the edges of the universe.
