I'm surprised you aren't trying to use your powers of persuasion to shape Ender into what you know he can be.

I suppose I understand missing home, even if it isn't the ideal.

Oh, I will be. It's just that, right here, right now, I don't need to do anything. There isn't anything here. Ender is going to jump at the chance to do what I want him to do merely because it is something to do.

It's kind of beautiful in its neat perfection, really.

But it's not home I miss. At all. I could be perfectly happy never returning to my earth, nor do I plan to.

It's just Peter I miss.
