Wo ai ni is Mandarin for 'I love you.' But if I tell him that in English, I'm pretty sure he's gonna bolt. So. I just say it in Chinese so he won't know what I'm sayin' but I still get to say it. 'Cause I kinda have to.

(I also think all your technology is kinda pitiful and backwards, but I learned not to say that out loud anymore.)

What you can do is a gift.

It's a gift that means I don't get any recognition as bein' a girl, or pretty -- which is okay, 'cause I ain't -- or respectable or nothin'. I get dirty fingernails an' boys talkin' to me like I'm one of 'em. You can associate with diplomats an' politicians an' wear beautiful clothes an' make people happy an' be respected all over the galaxy. Companions'll always be a class above my sort, no matter how much more we might be an actual need, rather than just desire. An' I don't see nothin' wrong with that, but it's a fact.

Plus, it ain't so easily learned, or I'd already know how t'do it all.

The idea that you're not pretty is just ridiculous. You're absolutely lovely.

As for learning what I know, that can happen if it would make you more comfortable, but I don't think you need it.

Eh, I know HOW everything works, an' how to make it fun, but I ain't too good at makin' it romantical-like. So THAT would be useful.

And if you got one of those books of, um...positions....

Help yourself whenever you like.

The last guy, I told him in Al Bhed before I was ready to say it in English.

This one learned my language, so that's kinda out the window.
