My player is currently halfway through a book and yelling something about how Orson Scott Card needs to stay away from his old characters NOW and FOREVER.

I feel like we're two sides of a coin balancing each other out somehow.

Mine's facepalming just a little but otherwise saying stuff about how canon is mostly forgiven now. Earlier there was fistpumping and squeeing and seriously, she took half a day off of work for this?!?

But she's notorious for picking and choosing what parts of canon she pays attention to, so it's not like she has room to talk. Also, she's a brat.

Well, mine was running around with a bottle of Raid screaming "WAR" "RAGE" and "DIE DIE DIE". Maybe there's something in the water.

She also has a book coming out in a few weeks that she just found out about a week ago and that makes her boing around like a loon.

Mine says she's trying to save me from myself. Something about the canon that came before this that makes her keysmash, but I'm not sure I want to know. She also says she's relieved that early spoilers re: shippiness were wrong, but she'd be happy with a little more slashy subtext. *blinks* I have no idea.

My player once gave serious thought to spending $400 to buy a copy of the second book of the two book story that was intended to be the definitive canon finale.

Mine is making squee-ish noises about getting new canon on April 25th, even if it is a confirmed AU and waiting for a decent fansub. Something about new icons and characterization and there is a lot of squeeing and it's scary
