Mine worries about that too. I keep telling her I'm from a canon that constantly retcons itself anyway so she shouldn't sweat it that much, but she does.

They're both weird, yo. I mean, that chunk of my canon is done and gone. Just because they're releasin' an entire short story about the Turks and extended footage for some movie with a weirdly festive name don't mean it's gotta apply to me.

I think they just gotta suck it up and deal with the retcons, yo. It's what they get for pokin' at live canon like that.

Yeah, considering how hard she got Jossed for one of her other characters, you'd think she'd be used to it by now. But I think she gave up on his canon forever ago. And it's done, too.

Mine, on the other hand, I think might NEVER END.

I hear that, too. They put the word 'Final' in the name of mine, but they lie. Last I heard, they were plannin' on givin' me new canon until at least 2017.

Yours, though? Daaaamn. Yours is freakin' immortal. My player says that all the back canon is the one thing keepin' her from playin' some dude called, uh, Han Solo or whatever. She made a journal for him, says it's the best username ever, and it ain't gonna ever get used.

What a waste.

Yours is probably the most intimidatin' canon in the game, yo. I mean, there are the ones from classic literature or whatever, which kinda scare people with all their pretty words, but those are usually one-shots. And the comic book stuff, that's kinda scary too, I guess.

But your canon is, like, sacred or somethin', yo.

They'll start makin' pullout sleeves for the covers of my stuff eventually, I'm thinkin'. They're tossin' in words now, too! Makin' sequels! Makin' mirror games and prequels and books and cell phone games about me that they ain't never gonna release outside of Japan.

They're freakin' mean.

Your canon is mean with all the Japan-only releases. My player gets sulky about that too.

And seriously, you should see her frantically researching stuff for pings sometimes. It's kind of ridiculous. My canon gives her sweats. And then she kicks herself for weeks if she gets some tiny obscure thing wrong.

Your player and mine both, yo. Mine busted out the PSP today so that I could explain Blizzaga to Romeo right. Swapped out games and went diggin' for a title from my specific continuity just because the same spell is apparently different from one to the next, yo. How many different ways can you throw chunks of ice at people, anyhow? Weirdo.

Mine freaked out for, like, weeks, back when I was new to the game. Figured she was gonna trip up somewhere and everyone would know. The app form she wrote up to get me in was a freakin' novel/game strategy guide or somethin'. Still gets all sweaty and panicky now an' then when it comes to sortin' out hard canon from... Game mechanics?

She says it's because I'm a miniboss and not a main character. I got no freakin' clue what she's goin' on about. I ain't been hit with Mini.

The Wikis! They get abused so freakin' much here, yo! Stupid things, like what parts of the planet you'll run into a tonberry on, or how many monsters typically show up when you run into a wild chocobo! Just for some throwaway in-joke, sometimes!

They're obsessed, yo. It's the only explanation.
