state of the characters!

In an effort to keep similar things together, I've moved our state of the characters post to the therapy comm since we do an IC version of this every once in awhile and I thought keeping the OOC version here might make more sense. Of course, the therapy comm will remain your haven for all those therapeutic posts you need to make, this is just me moving this particular update here since it's not really a meme but it's not really IC either. All memes will still take place in the OOC comm, of course!

Anyway, I'm sure you all know how this works (and here's our last one) but, if you don't, it's basically a post to give the game at large an update or a summary of what's going on with each of your characters. Romances, classes, upcoming plots, things you might want to do with them in the future, crushes, people you want to thread with, etc.

Feel free to include general end of summer thoughts, plots that came together, and development that occurred over the entire course of the long, hot summer. For the newbies, feel free to describe the first few days and maybe outline what you're hoping to do! And, the familiar example:

Umbridge: Sometimes, it's hard for me to play her because she's so intensive and tiring. But, she's having fun hexing students and pissing off teachers. I'm enjoying her games of give and take with Anakin and Wade, particularly. I'd love to see her thread more with Roy. She'll be leaving soon but not before a big explosive ending.

It doesn't have to be exactly like that but that's basically the gist. Feel free to reply to each other if you have thread ideas or even plot ideas. So, go forth and share!

Arthur

- Entirely unconcerned with why the fuck he got in any way ill at all during the magic plague (after all, it didn't get anywhere near any of those people with him he cares about, so it must have been a fluke) despite the fact that he really should be concerned
- Still horribly confused and desperate about how to deal with the whole clusterfuck thing, in the closet in a very medieval way, and out to murder every romantic in his way, sorry, Romeo
- Is kind of weirdly disappointed to be back in Fandom, because at least Firekeeper's world made some sense
- Feels weirdly responsible for the Nexans back in Firekeeper's universe, which has him thinking about his own people again, which isn't good for his peace of mind
- Looking forward to dealing with a whole new crop of newbies, at least, and maybe a few other projects. Just to get his mind off of things. Yes.
- Kind of still really desperately wishes he could hate Francine, sometimes
- Misses his old group of guys, sometimes. Clearly needs someone beyond Zack to fill the out-with-the-boys gaps.
- Starting to get really, really tired of being Leto's roommate

Romeo will just be a bit smug he's on the other side of the ocean, and thus a tad difficult to murder these days.

Also, he thinks Arthur needs to open his heart and embrace his inner romantic. Or something like that.

... well, yes, but we have covered the part where Romeo's inner monologue is a lot like Ewan McGregor's part in the Elephant Love Medley in "Moulin Rouge," haven't we?

He has many good qualities. The ability to give sensible and safe-for-furry-critters guidance is not among them.

Honestly, I think half the reason why Arthur managed to talk to Romeo of all people is not just that he is Elsewhere and Not Reno and Kind Of Gets These Things, but the fact that he can make as much fun of Romeo's romantic habits as necessary. And threaten him. And other such kind ways of dealing with issues that he clearly does not have.

Guy's night out sometime? Does Arthur play poker?

I'd love to have more interaction with Tony and Arthur but it seems like whenever they're together, they're just polite and respectful at each other, which is nice for them but not very interesting for RP. Not sure how to fix that.

Although Arthur is welcome to talk to Tony about him recruiting Karla for the Magic Reserves without talking to him. Though it's been a while, so maybe that moment has passed. *shrug*

*snerk* Arthur's polite-and-respectful is about 95% defense mechanism/learned behaviour, anyway. So they'd have to wind up in a setting where he can't fall back on defense mechanisms. Which would be slightly difficult.

And alas, the moment for the last part has passed, yes.

Hannibal's going to have to find him and wrangle him into a certain something sometime soon! So, Arthur can get a group of guys, just not by his choice.
