One cannot know unless one tries, of that you are correct. I do not think it is fear that drives of what I speak. If I reach for the stars, then I shall not be reaching for the moon. Is that not in itself setting a goal as much as it is setting a limit. I can seek for one thing. Perhaps even a few things, but I cannot reach for all at once.
