Once upon a time, I would have said something bloody ridiculous. A rockstar, some famous musician travelling worldwide with screaming girls underfoot, going home to some bloody mansion or some such thing.

Now I think I'd be happy if I could find some way to legally scratch out a living for myself after graduation, in some way that doesn't involve signing myself away to th'next X-Team-Of-Th'-Week. It's looking doubtful, really.

I would like to find Cassima and ask her to marry me, and then create a world where our children do not have the concerns and trouble that my parents, my sister, and myself have suffered...

...but, looking at my new canon, I....really don't think that last one's gonna be an option. But I seem to be doing okay at the second part! Plus, I got a new haircut, dropped some weight, and look even about five years younger! Thanks, game designers! *thumbs up*

I hadn't put much thought into it, really. There aren't a lot of opportunities for someone from my background, you see.

Since coming here, though, I seem to have developed an interest in detective work. Perhaps the constabulary would have me, I don't know.

I was raised by a detective. It's fascinating work -- and no one pries too deeply into your background, for fear you'll do it back to them.

If someone had told me even this time last year that I was gonna be a teacher when I grew up, I would'a laughed in their face an' showed 'em some of them photos from grad, yo.

Of course, I guess you could argue that I been grown up a lot longer than I look like. Or maybe I still ain't, I dunno.

So, here it is. When I grow up, I just wanna know where the hell I stand. I don't care if I do that as a teacher or as a Turk. If the whole damn friggin' universe could stop wobblin' around underfoot, I'd be satisfied with sittin' on a curb with a coffee can and a friggin' sign, zoto.
