Rube says we're not supposed to get close to the living, and it's a bad idea, we should keep our distance. Stay on the edges, hang out in the shadows.

Mason says Rube's full of shit. That we might as well grab the time we have with both hands. And get close, and make mistakes, and all the rest of it.
