Injuring yourself for 'training'? Again?

Did you really think that would work?

It was, bizarrely enough, training. And a good way to practice getting it more efficient so I both use less chakra and am faster at healing.

What is the issue here?

And when you injure yourself worse without the proper training? Because you will, you know.

It was minor scrapes done with a fingernail! I'm a good enough healer to handle that no problem. I've got no plans to stab myself or anything, I'm not mental.

And why should I believe that why exactly?

I trust him because here he had no reason to hide what he was here and didn't try. If he'd have wanted me dead, it would've been easy to make it an accident and no one the wiser. Or have it look natural.

I know that he's likely using me, and I also know that if he had to kill me he'd feel a bit of regret about it. It wouldn't stop him of course, but that's something.

He hated the fact that he couldn't heal me during the plague, and got pissed off when I slept with someone else. And at the same time he fell asleep against me, true sleep, deep sleep. He wouldn't have done that if he hadn't trusted me. You're a higher rank than I am, but that doesn't mean I can't kill someone when they give me an opening like that.

He trusted that I wouldn't. And I trusted that he wouldn't for me.

So far all that's come from it is me learning how to heal. Funny that. That's a useful skill to have.
