...I'm about to go into a field of study in which I'll be the only female in my graduating class, surrounded by men who will think I made my boyfriend up because, if I really had a boyfriend, I wouldn't be in medical school, I would be in the kitchen.

...now, if it were late sixties and not in the South, I might be okay. But it's so much better here in the twenty first century.

Ok, I get that. And I spent most of the 60s in a jungle anyway.

That's where I spent the latter part of the 50s.

...I think I'd take the jungle over Georgia.

Mine killed my sister, drove my father insane, lead my older sister into a crappy marriage, and lead my mother to betray me and leave me to be eaten alive by flesh-consuming ants.
