state of the characters!

In an effort to keep similar things together, I've moved our state of the characters post to the therapy comm since we do an IC version of this every once in awhile and I thought keeping the OOC version here might make more sense. Of course, the therapy comm will remain your haven for all those therapeutic posts you need to make, this is just me moving this particular update here since it's not really a meme but it's not really IC either. All memes will still take place in the OOC comm, of course!

Anyway, I'm sure you all know how this works (and here's our last one) but, if you don't, it's basically a post to give the game at large an update or a summary of what's going on with each of your characters. Romances, classes, upcoming plots, things you might want to do with them in the future, crushes, people you want to thread with, etc.

Feel free to include general end of summer thoughts, plots that came together, and development that occurred over the entire course of the long, hot summer. For the newbies, feel free to describe the first few days and maybe outline what you're hoping to do! And, the familiar example:

Umbridge: Sometimes, it's hard for me to play her because she's so intensive and tiring. But, she's having fun hexing students and pissing off teachers. I'm enjoying her games of give and take with Anakin and Wade, particularly. I'd love to see her thread more with Roy. She'll be leaving soon but not before a big explosive ending.

It doesn't have to be exactly like that but that's basically the gist. Feel free to reply to each other if you have thread ideas or even plot ideas. So, go forth and share!

• Is still dealing with the sudden physical changes he's gone through
• Is still somewhat embarrassed by some of the reactions he's getting from people
• Is missing his roommate more than he'd admit
• Hasn't begun coping with the fact that he's lost Claudus, Jaga and his home planet.

Harper
• She might actually be getting over her crush on Eric van der Woodsen and going on a date with Eric Matthews. I'm just hoping I can keep it all straight.
• Having her take driver's ed may be a really, really bad idea
• New canon has me pretty excited, but first things first: she needs to find out her BFF is a wizard

Hoshi
• Has a lot to think about in regards to what she wants to do after graduation
• In the meantime, she's going to enjoy hanging out with her friends as much as she can over the next year

Mary
• So I had a plan for her, and she went 180˚ in the opposite direction this summer. Go figure.
• She'd like to have another cocktail party as an excuse to meet all the new adults in town.

Dani
• She's relatively content at the moment. She's got her horses and she's got her house
• There are some possible things she could go through as a canon catch-up, but I may be waiting for someone else to finish watching all of Dani's canon first. :D

Mike
• With his voice, when it rains, it pours. He had a busy August with the Disneyland trip, meeting his AU daughter, and accidentally had his wife drop in on genderswap day.
• He already had a long chat with Veronica at Disneyland, but I'd love to see him chatting with other alumni, especially any of his old students.

- Some days he's really bored with Fandom and wants to go home. Teenagers can be too much to deal with. Despite that he's thankful for the opportunity to be there.
- His roommate is getting on his nerves more and more. That probably doesn't bode well.
- Luckily he doesn't do emo well though!
- He is very very happy that Alice wants to live on Arrakis after graduating. He is equally happy that Ghanima approves of this.
- He really enjoys Kate's company, and also that she doesn't ask him to define things between them.
- He is really really happy to have Ghani and now Irulan in Fandom.
- He is thinking more and more about his future, not that he talks about this.

Simon:
- Is really worried and concerned about River.
- Is fed up with the nurses at the clinic.
- Is a little confused that he can actually be friends with teenage girls.

* In the meantime, she'll be here: drinking, smoking, having sex with boys who promise not to call.
* And watching the sky.

Lizzy:
* Excited to be back to teaching.
* Needs a Darcy like whoa.
* Misses home a great deal more than she lets on.
* Especially Jane.

Alex:
* Still not adjusting.
* Has no idea if she ever will.
* Would give anything to be back in a courtroom.
* Enjoying the whatever-it-is she seems to have going, with Gibbs.
* Particularly glad that he doesn't seem in a hurry to label it.

Alice:
* Does not come out to play as often as she'd like, mainly because her particular brand of insanity requires more focus to write than most of my others.
* Is thinking very seriously about graduation, and what she's going to do afterwards.
* Is seriously considering going to Arrakis, with Leto.
* Has plot in the works, maybe, if I can work the kinks out. Am still tinkering and pondering.

Rikku:
* Misses Fandom, but knows it was time for her to go.
* Misses Reno, and the Posse, and the Club, and her sibs, and her friends, and everyone else under the sun. There's no "but" on this one.
* Is very proud of herself for organizing the upcoming conference, and getting people in Spira to talk instead of just glare at each other and mumble.
* There's going to be a major wrench thrown in the works, before the conference can happen, and something she's going to decide to deal with herself, which means actually confronting some of her issues in a way that the sequel itself side-stepped (which thoroughly pissed me off). That should be happening: soon-ish, I think.

* It's amazing the kid's head hasn't exploded with all the things he's not thinking about: whatever relationship he had with Karla in the AUverse, watching Ender kill himself there, having to kill Tahiri, the feelings Karla shared the day everyone sang, Riina getting louder in Tahiri's head...it's shoved the whole "Jacen died and Jaina killed him/a different Tahiri got Really Handsy With Me WTFF" thing way to the back.
* He's now living with Ender because we are Very Cruel Muns. Whether this turns out to be a good or really, really terrible is kind of up in the air.
* I'm finally feeling comfortable with his voice, and am looking forward to figuring out how the new canon novels will fit in with his current life in Fandom.

Anakin
* Is a ridiculously proud father to the Best Baby That Comes to Fandom Island, Take THAT Deadpool.
* Is kind of glad that there aren't any other Jedi in this new batch of kids. He has his hands full with his current family and the students who need his attention.
* Is still dwelling on the ramifications of killing Aeryn and Raven in AUverse. It's been a while since he'd killed a non-NPC person and he doesn't like the memories that dredged up.

Luke
* Is being a badass general at home.
* Will never bring the people at home to Fandom, as he likes them thinking he is a badass and that will not stay the case if they meet his high school friends.
* Needs a third point because I'm obsessive like this.

Biff
* Is now living in a house with Gibbs, DiNozzo, Barney, Bond and Jim Halpert. Clearly this means they need to throw a kegger soon.

Mat
* Has been here five days and has struck up conversations with ten different girls and kissed two of them.
* REALLY LIKES IT HERE.
* Lives in Claudia's old room, a fact I find absolutely hysterical.

Sirius
* Is in an apartment with his booooyfriend bestie, Lupin.
* Is teaching in a school where no one seems ready to scream for the Aurors and the Dementors, so he's cautiously optimistic.
* Is, nonetheless, a snarly, hairtrigger tempered, PTSD victim.

Jack
* Is internally bitching about the effort of finding new broadcasters who drink all of his rum.

Ghanima:

- still, by far, the easiest of all of mine to write. THIS SCARES ME.
- needs more adult interactions. By which mean I mean interacting with adults, and not anything dirty.
- should be tossed at her teaching buddy more, because she's either going to want to smack him or die laughing. I don't think she's decided yet.
- occasionally wonders who in the office staff thought it was smart to stick two princes in a room together, and wonders if she'd get in trouble if she twhapped both of them alongside the head.
- needs a Farad'n for PW, just so I can cackle madly.


Emma Frost:

- still a stone cold bitch with all the trust-issues of a stray cat.
- but is ruthlessly charming towards her fellow students, because you never know when they're going to be useful.
- needs more friends. Does not want more 'friends'. Is very conflicted about this.
- needs to be even more amoral with her powers. Yes, I typed that with a straight face.
- requires more minions / people to break. I have a list! I just need to be better about getting her out.
- is suspiciously resembling happy, and isn't sure she likes it. Soft squishy things make her paranoid.


Anemone:
- still the hardest of my four to write, and always will be.
- needs to get out more.
- is so much more comfortable in her own skin than she was even a year ago, but lacks the vocabulary to express that.
- still doesn't get why Crazy-Her in the AU is an issue for people here. Has decided it's another way humans are dumb, and is ignoring it.
- will either try to strangle Azula, or end up BFFs. Not sure yet. LAWFUL EVIL REPRESENT. Will also probably find Illyria freakin' fascinating.
-- needs more friends in general, preferably ones that don't mind glitter, being fed, and the fact she tends to color on things.


Dōjima Yurika:

- is happy and in-love and is NOT PLEASED that I intend to make her play-out canon and not just let her kiss a Montague all day. Lazy girl.
- needs to send out more annoying emails and text messages to people, to entertain me when I'm bored. Making up ways for her to annoy her boss is fun!
- soooooooooooooooooo happy to be in Tokyo where the food is awesome and the world makes sense to her.
- misses her Posse like mad, and all of her other friends, but is fully immersed in her job and loving it.
-- except that bit about possibly getting Kate killed. That, she's not so thrilled with, but she's rationalized it to herself that Kate got sloppy somewhere and it's not her fault. And while she was useful, a loose end would have had to have been tied off one way or another.
--- not sure how she would have felt if she had been ordered to do the tying. Isn't actually thinking about it.

Jonas:
• Still has the new kid shine on him!
• He probably got paired with the perfect big sibling since Ender's both patient and probably a little more used to dealing with someone with Jonas' special difficulties than other people.
• Thinks his roommate is suuuuuuuper duper sweet. And he's also so curious about her stuff.
• Got enrolled in some heavy duty classes because he just wants to learn. He's going to have a difficult time adjusting to a few things what with having the luxury of choice now and all.
• He's downplayed the Community a bit, just so he doesn't dump that on anyone too soon since it's pretty damned terrible once he starts talking about it.
• Because of the above, I'll probably pick and choose who he does tell some of the more OMGWTF aspects to just so he doesn't completely make people lose faith in the human race or something.
• Will be asking a lot of questions. He's harmless, I promise, but feel free to politely tell him to shush if he asks too many.
• Misses Gabriel. Misses him a lot. He misses his family too but he just cannot go back there. He won't go back there after seeing what his father did.
• His family probably won't be coming for PW. Gabriel definitely might show up.
• There are a lot of small things he NEEDS to learn. If you're willing to teach him, he's willing to learn.

Effy: Has just been forced through some of her early season three canon, because I'm horrible and can't just let her float along in her antisocial bubble forever. She's not really taking it all that well, (although, given she's not having to live with it 24/7, she probably won't end up anywhere near as broken as they made her in canon, yay).

She's generally pretty quiet, because she's so laconic and just difficult, since she doesn't go out of her way to talk to new people. Girl needs to learn how to actually have friends.
