state of the characters!

In an effort to keep similar things together, I've moved our state of the characters post to the therapy comm since we do an IC version of this every once in awhile and I thought keeping the OOC version here might make more sense. Of course, the therapy comm will remain your haven for all those therapeutic posts you need to make, this is just me moving this particular update here since it's not really a meme but it's not really IC either. All memes will still take place in the OOC comm, of course!

Anyway, I'm sure you all know how this works (and here's our last one) but, if you don't, it's basically a post to give the game at large an update or a summary of what's going on with each of your characters. Romances, classes, upcoming plots, things you might want to do with them in the future, crushes, people you want to thread with, etc.

Feel free to include general end of summer thoughts, plots that came together, and development that occurred over the entire course of the long, hot summer. For the newbies, feel free to describe the first few days and maybe outline what you're hoping to do! And, the familiar example:

Umbridge: Sometimes, it's hard for me to play her because she's so intensive and tiring. But, she's having fun hexing students and pissing off teachers. I'm enjoying her games of give and take with Anakin and Wade, particularly. I'd love to see her thread more with Roy. She'll be leaving soon but not before a big explosive ending.

It doesn't have to be exactly like that but that's basically the gist. Feel free to reply to each other if you have thread ideas or even plot ideas. So, go forth and share!

Morgana is caught between wanting to chain herself to Arthur to keep him from running off and saving people and realizing that no, he needs to run off and save people or they won't get saved. Stupid future king.

Clearly, she needs more things to occupy herself so she'll stop obsessing. And so someone besides Arthur will leave her voicemail, or she's going to stop checking it. *cackle*

~*~ Is still shiny and new.
~*~ Loves the fact she's in another one of Mitchell's classes.
~*~ Is intrigued by her literature teacher.
~*~ Needs to get out more and make friends with people so she doesn't hide in her room the entire time she's in Fandom.
~*~ Her new roommate is probably going to be a good thing for her as they seem to get along.
~*~ I need to have something happen with her seeing/hearing ghosts and am open for ideas and help with this.
~*~ Will probably have people show up for PW.
~*~ Will be having issues due to Lyle House and the people still looking for her.
~*~ Is still pretty amazed that she was hired to work in two places.
~*~ Will decide at some point that maybe getting drunk would keep her from seeing or hearing ghosts.
~*~ Needs to develop a crush on someone completely inappropriate because she's cute and shy and this would amuse me greatly. This could be a student or teacher.

Katchoo:
- Yep, still madly in love with Francine.
- Broke, on account of all the money that isn't being spent on cigarettes and art supplies going to the hospice in Toronto where Emma Glass is dying from AIDS.
- Relieved her past hasn't caught up with her yet.
- Not expecting this to last.
- Will not be disappointed on that score.
- Actually misses Ronan, Wendy, and Claire Fisher.
- Enjoys her weird verbal spars with Arthur, even if she won't say so.
- Still doesn't think Gabrielle looks remotely like her, DAMMIT.
- Hates me for the fact that Dinah somehow always manages to catch her when she's emotionally vulnerable.

Tahiri:
- Finally getting over Anakin Solo, thank GOD.
- Will never stop loving him, though.
- Loves Ben, too, and is okay with this.
- Even though it occasionally gives her weird guilt issues.
- Is not at all happy that Riina is getting stronger in her head.
- Does not realize this is related to above.
- Will never understand why it matters so much to her where she stands with Jaina.
- Still worries about falling to the Dark Side, especially now that she knows her Jacen is hiding things.
- Is remarkably well adjusted (by which we mean kind of but not really) for a kid who was tortured two years ago, you know, aside from that whole alternate personality in her head that she knows she can't get rid of.

Gabrielle:
- Absolutely loves it in Fandom and thinks she has the best roommate ever.
- Is in spasms of glee over her new library job because OMG SO MANY STORIES.
- Is gonna be in for such a surprise at Homecoming. *g*
- Loves being able to work with the Support Reserve.
- Loves getting to act!
- Has not as of yet been badly traumatized by any of her adventures on her trips home. Yet.
- Is totally crushing on Bobby.
- Might have a little crush on Kyle too.
- Totally doesn't have UST with her roommate. Really.
- Will never not go o.O at Francine.
ETA: - I so want to take people home to the Very Special Greece with her around Christmas break when she goes to do "A Solstice Carol." *g*

Lacey:
- Still hasn't gotten used to the fact that Fandom isn't as harshly critical of everything she does as Dog River is.
- Feels like there's something missing because of that.
- Stops feeling like it every time she does radio with Katchoo.
- Loves the weekly visits from what she's now dubbed the Weetiny Boys' Club of Bobby, George Cooper, and Kyle.
- Is currently considering renaming the diner, but still worries this is going to lead to a repeat of when Hank picketed outside the Ruby, even though that had to do with her changing the menu.
- Needs to go fangirl at Robin some more.

Alex:
φ Is finally, THANKFULLY, starting to settle down.
φ Which basically means he's not always LOOKING to pick a fight or find someone and just tear them down

φ Is friends with Griff. Will not ever ever admit that.
φ Is kind of attached to Rose too. Probably won't ever admit that to her either even if she kind of knows since he got all snappy about her leaving.
φ Has been having a lot of Nice Guy moments lately! It's good though, because I like delving into that aspect of his personality while keeping him the same asshole everyone knows and loves.
φ Still cannot deal with his issues from home very well. They've come close to coming out so it's probably a matter of time.

Azula

- I'm still worried about getting her voice right and yet she's surprisingly easy to write. Especially when she's being creepy. This worries me.
- She doesn't like being kept in a leash but the threat of exile and being stripped off her powers leaves her no choice but to follow Zuko's stupid plan.
- Azula's adapting in Fandom a lot better than I expected her to. Although she's sometimes afraid she's still crazy and fears she made Fandom up.
- The different hair colors continues to flummox Azula. She doesn't get why people need to have different hair colors when black and dark brown are perfectly sensible colors to have.
- Is kind of getting a minion in Hayley. Azula's not surprised by this but I am. I never expected her to get one!
- Azula doesn't regret anything about what she's done. (Well, no, that's not true. She regrets she didn't let the Fire Sage crown her first before proceeding with the Agni Kai with Zuko. ) She would probably be annoyed or confused if someone suggested she was.
- As long as she's not certain about her sanity she's not going to attempt to take the crown from Zuko. Or if he proves he is actually competent about being the Fire Lord.
- Azula would have been more impressed if she thought Zuko deliberately sent her to Fandom because he knew about its quirks. She knows he didn't.
- She hates and yet misses Mai and Ty Lee.
- Hates and loves her father but she'll probably burn him when she sees him again.
- Thinks food in Fandom's not spicy enough.
- Is fascinated by the technology and is already thinking of ways to bring some home.
- She wants to do everything, OMG.
- She's decided making alliances in Fandom is the way to go.
- Hates Sex Ed and thinks Mr. Bond is not all that bright.
- Azula's fixated on Dinah and her powers. It's very creepy.
- She's trying to act like a normal girl and thinks she's succeeding. She's not. See above.
- Azula's surprised she actually tolerates and probably like a few people in Fandom. She's also surprised how well she's getting along with Triela.
- Would probably stop by the library again to annoy Anemone.
- Azula is also looking forward to speaking to Valentine again.
- Is very, very wary of Layla Miller.
- I've enjoyed everyone Azula's ever threaded with!

Future

Azula will stop by Ghanima's office soon, she's curious about Ghanima especially since Dinah mentioned her in passing.

She'll probably start annoying Anakin too and be annoyed by Dr. Sweets. I'm very curious how Azula would react to Arthur.

Azula will eventually do a Heel Face Turn or more accurately she would no longer want to conquer the world and may occasionally be roped in into saving it. Maybe. But she'll never lose the capacity to be utterly ruthless in the face of an opponent that needs killing. She will also never lose sleep about killing either. She likes being Lawful Evil.

Bobby Drake

* is enjoying this place more than he thought he would, to the point where he volunteered to stay longer.
* is thrilled to have Jean here, even if her world is strange, because she's still Jean.
* is not so thrilled at the fact that Jean keeps trying to date guys who aren't Scott Summers.
* is starting to relax a bit on the subject of his powers. They still kinda freak him out a little when he thinks about it too much, though.
* will hopefully thread with Emma more!
* cracks me up with his insanely adorable and weird conversations with Sookie all the time.
* IS NOT GONNA LOOK AT NAKED LADIES IN HUSTLER, JASON, OMG. Well. Probably not.

- Is far, far too content about being in Fandom. Ghani and Leto being in Fandom might have something to do with it.
- Still thinks the tinfoil hat thing is a good idea. Well, as long as she's getting bulk orders from Roswell I don't think she's going to stop. She's also sent a crate to Arrakis.
- Loves her hat shop.
- Ghani will be happy to hear Irulan isn't as gung-ho about getting grandchildren these days. She'd like to have them one day but she's content.
- Should really get out more.
- Irulan will have to ask Leto more about the bowling thing. She's very intrigued.
- I'm thinking of getting Irulan to throw a garden party.
- Also, possibly a trip with her step children somewhere off island. Maybe with water but knowing her luck they'd probably arrange for a desert tour.

* Possssssibly thinking of getting her involved with a guy who isn't Jamie Madrox. No one picked out really but doing a one person ship is no fun.

Gibbs:
* Gets to spend a lot of time on his boat
* Has gone out on a few dates
* Went out on a date with a blond instead of a red head and the world didn't end.
* Gets to smack DiNozzo's head every once in a while.

Worf
* Cranky bastard
* Cut off from his universe and is even crankier about that.
* Won't tell anyone how his screw up caused him to be cut off from the universe
* Needs to have his mun submit his plotty to resolve this issue.

Lindsay
* Is... happy.
* This is not canon. And therefore weird for her
* Got to participate in a BDE instead of shipped off the island. Big step for the girl.
* Need to have her resolve her issues with the kiss-me-not killer.
* Still need to get her out more. And meet Reese. Not Kyle.

Indy
* Has a kid!
* Knows about having a kid!
* Totally forgot to have a staff meeting this week. Oops.
* Needs to have an adventure.

Well, Tully has reserved several cabins at a resort off the coast of Mexico, and has sent out handwavey invites to all Fandom adults. That's happening Sept 11th-13th. The lighthouse is almost done, and very soon after returning from Mexico he'll have a party where he'll light the light for the first time. Then I think he'll get a sailboat to fix up. And I want him to date more.

Tim was originally going to go away again but I was talked into keeping him around as a townie. So he his now the manager of the Android's Dungeon, and is commuting to classes at Princeton. I have no plans for him in the near future, just see how things go.

Billy is once again single and canon is happening. And John Connor expressed an interest in joining G.I. Joe to Billy wants to arrange a meeting between Duke and John.

Leda is trying to quit drinking Peca, and is suffering through periodic, and increasingly worse withdrawal symptoms. But with the support of her friends I'm sure she'll get through it. And Karla's gonna teach her how to swim.

Oz is starting to settle into Fandom, and is gonna try using the sweat lodge at Coyote Medicine to help him not change on the full moon. And he's still living out of his van down by the river causeway.

Robin is still getting frustrated by people not believing his existence. But he's also decided to get some Muppety revenge on Tybalt for literally kicking him off the roof.

For all of my characters I'd like to interact with people I've never interacted with before. And maybe some romance for all of them. as well.

-Is loving not being the new kid.
-Likes Fandom, though she misses home.
-Is on her way to becoming an enterprising young businesswoman.

Angela Martin
-Is WAY too easy to play and this TERRIFIES me.
-Doesn't hate everyone here. Yet.
-Has Plans for the party planning committee, and thinks everyone should follow her rule join.
-Is terrified of her wolf roommate. She likes her throat where it is, thank you.
-Is so getting gremlin bit soon.

Aeryn Sun
-Is SO HAPPY to be back doing her thing in Fandom.
-Feels really weird being called Professor Sun, though.
-Loves her class. Like a lot.
-I HAVE MISSED HER.

Lily Aldrin
-Still totes in love with her husband.
-Is spending the semester working at Strokes of Genius because I was burning out because she wants the summer vacation she never got last year.
-Is still not cool with Robin being engaged. She doesn't want to see the drama blowout when it ends in divorce in six months.

Jaye Tyler
-Starting her third year of college, second at Brown.
-May get through it early due to the fact that I kind of really wanna get to canon.
-Still might be crazy.
-Still doesn't remember OJ's name.

Brooke Davis
-Misses radio already.
-Has a good handwavy half summer with her friends from home.
-Is going to be moving from Tree Hill soon, as I have tooooons of stuff to play with.

Buffy Summers
-Is now a student at UC Sunnydale.
-Thinks she can top all your bad roommate stories.
-Wants to come back to Fandom, as she totally expects that there are like eight dozen people from Sunnydale who came to town AS SOON AS SHE LEFT.
-Likes being actually able to kill vamps though.
