Liek, all of my friends have AT LEAST gotten to third base. And now with Archie getting laid, am I THE ONLY ONE still a technical virgin?! Gods, I hate Kara "Let's hold hands and cuddle and not talk about stuff!" Thrace! I hope she's a cylon messiah or some crap like that!

*sighs, puts head down on Angela's shoulder*

"It is, damnit. I keep thinking I'm losing my edge. Puppies, damnit. Then I think I'm going *too* bad. It's no wonder I have an ulcer."

"If Marty and I get back together, I'll do my best to get Camilla out of the way. Though she can be crafty."

"Plus, Marty might kill us," she adds thoughtfully. "Unless I distract him."

"And you still have an edge, it's just ... fluffy. Like your ulcer. Which you're probably making worse with all this sugar."

"Heh. Distractions: Food. Video games. Victoria's Secret and video games..."

"Raindrop loves the sugar. But you're probably right." *munches sugar moodily* "But hey! I might get to dress up John like Zorro for Halloween if I can keep not-smoking!"

Angela nods. "I think Victoria's Secret and video games. Also maybe a tape of Ms. Cregg performing "The Jackal" at homecoming. But no first-person shooter games, okay? I don't want to make him regress and freak out again."

*sucks chocolate coating off of almond*

"Which John are you dressing up?"

"Oooo, good call. Professor Cregg is the crush object for half the class. And maybe Grand Theft Auto? That's not regressing *too* much...."

*selects another red sucker, and chortles, remembering House and Wilson 'arguing'*

"Crichton. heh. Aeryn will thank me. Really she will. Can you see him in the cape with the mask and really really tight satin pants?"

"Exactly. Heh. I am *so* not smoking or drinking this week. I have far too much motivation not to."

"She really is. It's not fair. You can't compete with older chicks, you just end up looking stupid. Although, she does give me hope for myself in my thirties. I may not be a bitter and crazy scary woman if she's managed it after working in government, for god's sake."

*knocks shoulders with Angela*

"You and Marty. It'll work out, you know?"

Parker's yawn is contagious, cutting through even Angela's mighty sugar buzz.

"Oh, god, we'll be 30 someday? Or 40? That's so ... old. If I look half as good as she does I'll be ecstatic. Not to mention if I get a guy as hot as the Doctor. But yeah ... we're no competition, there."

Angela smiles, a little bitter. "Everybody but me seems sure we'll patch it up. I don't know, maybe we just need time." She stretches her arms above her head. "He's supposed to be on that plotting zoo field trip this weekend, so maybe we'll get a chance to talk then."

"I know. Old old old. Still." Parker's eyes are closing, and she slumps into Angela. "Better old than dead. Or undead. I guess.Or a zombie. Yeek."

"The Doctor *is* hot. Why the hell can't I be 25 and then just stay there already? I'd hit on him in a heartbeat. As it is, I'm not going through the Gordon thing again until I'm at *least* 24."

Parker holds Angela's hand and gives it a squeeze. "Give it a chance. I think you both want it to work. That's gotta count for something. It's weird, but you two have fewer issues than *most* people around here." She yawns again. "Yay for the zoo. Talk to the animals. Talk to the emoex-hitmanboyfriend."

"Old and alive is definitely the best choice," Angela agrees sleepily. "Young and alive is pretty good too."

She squeezes Parker's hand back.

"It's sort of scary to be the functional couple in the school. Feels like we're, like, letting everyone down by being as stupid and teenaged as they are." She bites her lip and thinks before talking again. "I guess I do want it to work. I mean, if we can talk out the stuff that made us fight. And even if we aren't together, I don't like the way we left it. Just as a person, I don't want him to get himself beaten up."

"So, yeah. Animals, ex-boyfriend, it's gonna be some fun conversations either way."
