Little Wooden Boy is just a few pieces of wood bound together in a crude manner. He cannot speak. But if he could, he would say that it isn't your fault, and the only way to apologize (Little Wooden Boy is American and spells "apologize" with a "z") is from your heart.

Now leave him alone before he gives you a splinter.

Little Wooden Boy would be proud that his tough love approach helped, if he weren't inanimate. The splinter he gave was much, much smaller than what he could have done. But psychologically, it was huge. He would hope it helped.
